We started in early 90's and mostly
did interior equiping and designing. And we did very well. In the years that
followed, when doing business was finally a little bit easier, we found
ourselves ina dillema: equiping other peoples' spaces with imported furniture
of make our own...and we chose the difficult and challenging road – we started
our own furniture manufacturing.
Designing our programs swarms of
challenge which fully brings out the creativity of our multidisciplinary designer
team. We've created office and residential furniture programs that induced
great interest even in countries with a much longer and more developed
furniture designing tradition.
Today, Inkea employs 34 workers that
work with contemporary machinery. Preparation for production is conducted by
specialized software for3D furniture
planning with the possibility of sending data directly to programs that
optimise and cut boards and control CNC. The same program calculates production
prices for each element, makes product visualisation and total list of used
material. The biggest portion of production is office furniture, but the firm
also produces more demanding lounge, living room and other furniture. Design,
innovation, reliability and commercialism is what Inkea aims to. Commitment to
quality and good organisation of the firm resulted in getting the ISO 9001:2000
Certificate in 2004, confirmed every years since. Bussines weekly Bussines.hr
awarded Inkea one of the fastest growing companies this year and the year
before.
THE MAKING OF NEW PRODUCT
Simple clear
lines, functionality and social responsibility are Inkea’s postulates. Objects
in our surroundings affect our physical, social and psychological behavior. Our
every product’s development starts with that tought. Sometimes an idea comes
accidentally, from buyers or their needs. Sometimes it is inspired by new
materials or forgotten furniture shapes, but our main concern are always human
needs.
Product
development includes all members of our multidisciplinary team: architects,
designers, wood technologists, mechanical engineers, a psychologist and, when
needed, renown outside cooperators. Aided by contemporary software and hardware
our workers make prototypes which, after final processing, turn into new products,
seemingly simple and easy to use, but actually very complex and demanding to
make. Intelligently integrated functional simplicity and technical complexity
are our challenge and goal.
Those are the
products that leave no one indifferent.

Guided by the need to ease the health problems that
many suffer from because of long term sitting and work related stress, Inkea
started the Wellness Office project which was awarded gold medal at
international furniture fair Ambienta 2008 for innovative designer solutions
for office and study furniture.
SOCIALY RESPONSIBLE BAHAVIOUR AND COLLABORATION WITH ARCHITECTS
AND DESIGNERS
Responsibility for our economy’s development and
therewith necessary economic bases for entire society’s prosperity is upon all
of us.
On one side there are socialy responsible investors
and clients should look for quality, functional and well shaped interiors and
furniture produced in Croatia. Those are demands that Croatian projectants,
designers and producers should answer to with ideas and products of highest
quality.
We put our not so humble experience and knowledge at
everyone’s disposal. These collaborations often lead to starting new programs,
new products of Croatian school of architecture and design, which is something
all of us should be proud of.
We are fully open for collaboration with designers
that seek partner company to help them carry out their ideas, as well as
students who look for opportunities to learn basic and advanced techniques of
furniture production.
In our showroom as well as fairs in Croatia and
abroad, we gladly present the works of Croatian product designers.
